Our secondary school programs support teens in building their sense of Jewish identity, and connecting to their heritage and community. We embrace diversity, aiming to provide a space where Jewish youth from all walks of life can flourish.
We offer 3 inclusive and engaging programs for secondary school students at non-Jewish schools:
J-LUNCH – Weekly social and educational lunchtime sessions exploring contemporary Jewish topics, currently running at 4 secondary schools: Brighton Secondary College, Glen Eira College, McKinnon Secondary College and Sandringham College.
B’NAI B’RITH YOUTH ORGANISATION (BBYO) – Formerly known as AZA, this youth movement is running exciting social events and leadership development for Melbourne teens, and connecting them to a global network.
HEBREW AT GLEN EIRA COLLEGE – UJEB is supporting the re-introduction of curriculum level Hebrew language studies.
These programs also connect teens with other relevant UJEB and community programs, including UJEB Camp, Bar and Bat Mitzvah programs, Israel trips and youth groups. These linkages provide secondary school students with a range of pathways into living a Jewish life.
