BATMI 2025 – NORTH* – EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

During UJEB’s Bat Mitzvah program, girls develop their own emerging identities as young Jewish women. They are exposed to social action, Jewish history, religion, traditions and culture, as well as their connection to Israel. The girls explore the vibrant Jewish world through a variety of lenses.

UJEB currently runs an annual Bat Mitzvah programme, based in Caulfield. Partnering with Stand Up, the Jewish Museum of Australia and National Council of Jewish Women Australia (NCJWA), the girls meet weekly for a 1.5-2hr session for the duration of the programme. The programme culminates in a beautiful bat mitzvah ceremony. For more details click HERE. The 2025 programme details will be published in September.

The UJEB Bat Mitzvah programme is not affiliated with any synagogues, is an inclusive programme and requires no prior Jewish knowledge.

The Bat Mitzvah programme in the North will be a shorter, weekly programme based in the northern suburbs. UJEB is currently calling for expressions of interest to determine the viability of this unique Bat Mitzvah programme.

*North refers to suburbs in the north of Melbourne (eg. Clifton Hill, Alphington, Brunswick, Carlton, Fitzroy, Collingwood, Ivanhoe, Northcote, etc.)
