Jewish Student Network (JSN)

What's On

What is JSN?

The Pratt Foundation Jewish Student Network was established in 1990 and operates under the auspices of the United Jewish Education Board [UJEB]. JSN provides weekly lunchtime educational programs, special activities, social and cultural functions, camp[s], Shabbatons and other programs for Jewish students attending non Jewish private and government secondary schools.

Weekly lunchtime sessions broach subjects such as Israeli culture, Israeli music, Jewish foods, Jewish festivals, Israeli History, and other contemporary subjects.

JSN Programs include a weekly Hebrew Cafe, a Youth Advisory Committee, an annual winter camp, and other social functions.

What is the Youth Advisory Committee?

The JSN Youth Advisory Committee is an exciting new program aimed at a select group of students who wish to become more involved in the running of the organisation.

The Youth Advisory Committee will be a body made up of a small number of representatives from various schools, who will provide constant feedback about JSN activities, plan their own social events and market these events to their peers.

This program will ensure that JSN caters to the needs and wants of Jewish students in non-Jewish day schools. Students will participate in a number of workshops on decision-making, selling and marketing skills, event management and teamwork.
