United Jewish Education Board's Junior Camp
| Forty three enthused primary school children returned on the weekend from the fun filled, educational Annual UJEB camp held in the Mornington Peninsula.
The weekend provided the participants with a positive Jewish environment in which they socialised with Jewish students from other non-Jewish schools and gained an understanding of their heritage and culture. Activities included educational programs, beach walks, challah making and theatre sports. Participants learnt about Jewish values, famous stories of the Torah and Israel in an informal and stimulating environment. They experienced a traditional Shabbat atmosphere and encountered the various customs and practices. The camp was under the leadership of Lani Shochet (a Hineni Madricha) and an enthusiastic team of Madrichim from various youth movements. |

Reflections on the 2002 UJEB Camp: Carli "I liked the matzah activity" Holly and Jeannie "On UJEB camp we met kids from other schools, Arik, Ari, Aaron, Oscar, Ryan, Corrine, Courtney, Kerryn, Samara, Allison and Samantha.... we also played the falafel game with groups called tomato, cucumber, humous, etc, etc." Daniel "The activities were good , especially on Saturday night, when we did this army manoeuvre." Ben "On camp we slept in big cabins ate lots of food and we played a manoeuvre game. It was fun. So now you know what happened at camp" Elizabeth "I liked the giant swing"
