UJEB provides high quality formal and informal Jewish Education to Jewish students outside the Jewish school system to foster Jewish involvement and continuity.

The United Jewish Education Board (UJEB) was established by the Melbourne, East Melbourne and St Kilda Hebrew congregations in 1895 and has been educating the community’s children ever since. This year UJEB celebrates 111 years of education and faces another year of growing enrolments. The number of UJEB students has risen to nearly 1000 students in 2007, putting increasing pressure on UJEB’S resources.

Religious Education classes are provided during the day within state primary schools and additional programs featuring Hebrew language and Jewish studies are offered at several locations after school or on Sundays.

The United Jewish Education Board also administers programs conducted at secondary schools.

Besides classroom learning, UJEB also offers a variety of other educational programs, camps and community events during the year.

Browse our site to view an outline of UJEB programs being offered. UJEB is here to serve your Jewish educational needs - if there are any other programs you feel we can help you with, please discuss them with us. We would be delighted to examine further ways of meeting your needs.

Please do not hesitate to call or email us for further information on any of our activities.
